I know this forum is about application process, but I just hope the expert here knows something about UC-Davis

I've been researching about different schools and came across UC-Davis. From all the review I've read, they have a relatively new b-school, and their tuition fees are quite affordable compare to other similar b-school.

I don't live in US, hence, I really don't know the street reputation of UC-Davis. I heard and read articles that they are a new school and one of their weak links is lack of recruitment from the coporate world. How is this school rated in the US and what are their reputation? They are ranked 29 in the US Business Week 2004 ranking.

It would be very helpful if you can provide me some real insightful information on their reputation in the US.

Thanks in advance

The US News ranking is a good proxy for reputation in the US, altough I must admit I'm a little surprised UC Davis' rank is that high. UC Davis' business school is a well-regarded school in Northern California. As you note it has a small alumni group because it is young. If you want to work in California, certainly in the central or norther parts of the state, UC Davis will probably serve your needs well. If you want to move outside that region, you will probably have to network like crazy and work harder than if you attended a better known school.

Your best bet is to look at which companies recruit and hire graduates of UC Davis' business school.

Good luck!
