University of Miami or Florida International University ? [#permalink] New post 29 Apr 2004, 16:39
I've been accepted to MBA programs at Florida International University and University of Miami. Which one would you go for?
U of M will cost me a great deal more than FIU, but will an MBA from Miami be a better investment.
The FIU program is an IMBA (12 months), and the U of M is (21 months). I plan to go to law school after that.
I'm bewildered

To be honest, I don't know too much about either program, so I don't know how much advice I can give you. In terms of prestige and all of that, they're probably about the same from what I know (although one may have a better reputation locally). So, it may come down more to which program's strengths suit your interests, the costs involved (which you mentioned), and which program you simply like better. Have you visited both? Did one seem to be a better fit than the other?

Also, you've probably already checked this out, but since you also want to get a JD, which school has a better law program? Are there possibilities for joint degrees?

These are some of the questions I would ask myself. I wish I could be of more help!
