Me too. When did you interview at the U? Did you initiate it? (forgive all the questions).

I submitted my Foster application last week for the R3 deadline, but have not interviewed. The rest of my aps were in for R2.

westsider is right about the interview. they emailed me with instructions on how to set up an interview. you must be invited. And, the deadline was january 15, so i don't think we are in the same round. you won't hear from them until a few weeks after the last deadline.

I gather from ur posts that u in Foster at the moment. Can u tell us a little more bout Foster's strengths. From my research, I gather that International Business, Entreprneurship r 2 strong areas there. can u tell us a little bout wat u r specialisin in n also tell us as to wat classes or professors r really sought after at Foster. M lookin to specialise in Strategic Management with International Business. Can u suggest me who I shud talk to for course hadouts that the professors hv followed this year. Also wat r the chances of gettin scholarships in the next year given that i hv been offered a scholarship this year. Also shed some light on the criteria that second year scholarship awards r based on. Also if u can tell us somethin bout how Foster is rated by consulting firms n wat consultin firms r particularly active at Foster

Well, I just finished my interview on campus earlier this week. I got to the campus a few hours early so I could visit a few of the centers that they had. It was a great choice. I had the time to not only talk to a lot of the UW MBA staff, but several of them asked me the basic questions about why UW, why an MBA, what do I do now, etc. It was a great way to learn more about the program, my interviewer, and the career prospects after my MBA. The people that are there are more than happy to answer any question and were extremely nice and energetic. Overall I had a great interview experience.

As far as the actual interview, the interview was extremely nice and laid back. I think that the laid back attitude is one of the things that sets UW apart from most other business schools. But, back to the interview, I felt extremely prepared. To prepare I went to accepted.com and looked up previous interview questions that had been asked. I think about 50% of the questions were asked and by thinking about my personal answers ahead of time, I had the best interview possible. To help you out here is the list I compiled:

What is your biggest professional failure?
Assume you are interviewing for a position with a firm, and there are 9 other applicants who have recently received their MBAs. How would you convince the hiring manager to hire you?
Why an MBA? Why now? Why with UW?
What do you think our expectations are of UW MBA students?
What would you do if MBA program did not exist?
Describe a day of an MBA student
What has been your best experience with a team? Worst? Why?
Define Professionalism
Put yourself in the admissions seat, what is the weakest part of your application, and then argue why we should see through that.
Given that your work experience is slightly less than others, what do you think will be the determining factor for someone to hire you over other more experienced applicants with similar MBA degrees for a job after completion of your MBA degree?
Tell me about a leader that you admire, and what traits do you admire about him/her the most.
If there is no MBA, what is your plan?
What do you think your chosen companies will hire you instead of other candidates?
What is your weakness?
What can you contribute to our program?
How have you shown your leadership abilities?
What do you do for fun?

Actually, the list of questions was a compiled list from accepted.com's interview feedback section. In the section one of the applicants had a little less WE and was asked the question. But I kept it on my list so I could think of what my weakest area was and change the question accordingly.

I will be attending. As a local the cost of RSVP really is just the $500. Has anyone got their fafsa "feedback" (for lack of a better word) from UW? ON a positive note - at least they have finally decided the tuition.

For those folks that haven't been admitted yet, I have attached their school info PDF. I'm not sure why they wouldn't make this public to everyone. It seems like it has some great info, and nothing too secret!
