A,B,C are out because they don't modify 'severance packages'

D and E both modify sev pkg correctly but E's structure is better than D

Answer would be E

rchadha, you are right about (A), (B), and (C), but I think (E) sounds as if the employees will be collecting the last day itself, and not on the last day.

I think (D) is the correct answer. I don't see anything wrong with it.

agree with D

'their last scheduled day' in D is clear in meaning.

For E, not sure
'the last day that they are scheduled to collect' means they are scheduled for the purpose of severance or work ?
