(C) Unlike those in most warbler species, the male

difficult to distinguish.
(D) It is very difficult, unlike in most warbler species,
to tell the male and female blue-winged warbler
apart.
(E) Blue-winged warblers are unlike most species of
warbler in that it is very difficult to tell the
male and female apart.

I would go with (C).

The comparison has to be done between "the male and female blue-winged warbler" and "the male and female warbler in most other warbler species". Only (C) does that.

I am not sure why (E) is worng.

actually the official answer is E. I chose C as well and don't know what is wrong with it. :?:

E is best.

C makes incorrect comparison.

you have to compare "different species" of warblers.

want to take a look at C again
