A. No - bad comparison
B. No - bad comparison
C. I think this is the least of evils.
D. Close... I think C is more concise and active.
E. No - bad comparison

I'll take C over D. (even though a "from one another" would be nice at the end)

C is the answer.
Only C bring in the right modifier for the main sentence. all the rest have a proper misplace modifier.

Original sentence is good. Male and female blue-winged warbler is used to indicate the species of warbler that is different.
(B) - bad comparison, comparing species with gender
(C) – ‘those’ is unclear with it is referring to, the wabler species or the male/female blue-winged warbler
(D) - species wrongly modifies diffult
(E) – ‘it’ is not clear if it is referring to the difficulty of telling whether the blue-winged is male and female warbler, or it is simply referring the noun warbler preceding it

E is the clearest ans.

A is not as good. In C, the use of "distinguish" is not proper they often say "distinguish .. from ..." or "distinguish between ... and ..."
