I like the use of 'which' to introduce '... activates'.

I'll go with A on this.

that's what I was thinking about. You want the visitor to press the button which in turns activate something for the visitor to see. The programming for the button does the activating, not the visitor. So 'and thereby' would not be suitable since it mixes both events into one carried out by the visitor. I'll stick with A first.

I'll also go with A here. I don't think this question is testing parallellism. Instead, it is a logical sequence which is being tested.
#1 You touch the exhibits
#2 which (the exhibits) thereby activates X

D says that you
#1 touch the exhibits
#2 and thereby activate X
This means that the very action of "touching" will allow you to activate X. I believe that it is more logical for the "exhibits" to "activate the animated functions" after being touched rather than the action of "touching" to do so.

Paul, But what, touch or exhibit, activates? if it is touch, which doesnot represent the tuch, if it is exhibit, exhibit doesnot activates.
Also, does which has proper antecedent? Pls clearify........

D is missing the proper verb too. If D is right then it should use "activate(s)" instead of activate.

A is right.

Paul, I would disagree. Even in A, the act of touching will activate the animated questions, not that the exhibits will activate them.

If this is true, then both action > reaction is the same in A and D. I would still go for A.

I agree with "Paul " ..
It is about the logical sequencing and "A" makes perfect sense.
