It tool me 1 min 14 sec to choose the correct answer. Initially thought answer E not correct as we've both active and passive voice in the same sentence. However, when used POE all other seemed wrong because of wrong comparisons. Hence, chosen E. My Learning : In a sentence, we can have both active and passive voice, but they must be in different clauses. qweert wrote: Unlike the United Kingdom, where the party that wins a majority of seats in Parliament chooses the head of the government, the chief executive in the United States is chosen in an election separate from that which determines the majority party in the legislative branch. ravstime wrote: got it wrong myself. selected D. how come D is wrong? D is wrong be it is comparing "the United Kingdom" with "the chief executive". Correct comparison will follow this structure: In comparison with the United Kingdom, ..................., the United States.................. D. In comparison with the United Kingdom, where the party that wins a majority of seats in Parliament chooses the head of the government, the chief executive in the United States
