i know adcoms want to hear updates about big changes to your profile -- promotions, new test scores or grades, big extracurriculars -- but what about when the startup you work for (and are a limited partner/angel investor in) receives an initial seed round for over 1mm for a minority stake in the company less than a year after the company was founded? is there a best way to go about phrasing this in your email to the adcom to announce this change? i think its big and work related (esp for smaller startups) but i wanted to check... thanks!

Yes this would indeed be newsworthy to the adcoms...just make sure it does not communicate that you are no longer interested in b-school because you are about to take over the world with your startup. :)
