Does anyone have any insight as to the difficulty level of Upstart Raising's online exams? I was feeling rather confident after having completed a Kaplan practice test and scoring 680. However, I only scored 580 on a Upstart Raising practice test. Any thoughts here?

I'm not sure about that as I'v not used it before. But you might consider contacting those who have taken the GMAX Online prep course. I read on the GMAX website that they have included Upstart rising simulator to their program, so I think the students might have used it.

I have used Upstart for extra practice test. I felt the quant part of Upstart is representative of GMAT quant i.e. not easy quant as OG. However, verbal is totally offbase. In the two tests I took I got 650-690 and in my real GMAT I scored 760. So their simulator doesn't accurately predict your true score. In a nutshell, due to lack of data, noone knows how Upstart's scores shud translates into real score. We know that PP scores are fairly accurate and that one should add 50-100 points to Kaplan scores. If you are getting high 600s in Kap then u are well on ur way to get a good score in GMAT. I wudn't worry about a 580 in Upstart. Take a PP test (before OG) and see where u stand.

Good luck !

We at GMAX Online have found that the Upstart Raising grades are close to, but just under, the real grades that students have been getting. The experience is also very similar to taking the real test.
Many people also like the Peterson's tests, but some have had difficulty downloading them. We do not have any statistics about their scores, but the tests are supposed to be very close to the real tests.

I thought the Upstart tests were completely off base scoring wise. I took 5 of them and with scores of 540,580,640,580,580 I was pretty depressed. I thought the verbal sections were way off the mark. I used them aminly to work on timing and getting used tos tting for extended periods while testing. I would not put any wieght in the scores themselves.

I got a 730 on the real GMAT.

Cheers, Rahul.
