My doubt is similiar to sridhar's here. I'm planning to fund the MBA via a loan, and obviously I cannot show that amount in a bank statement right now. So, what can I do about this right now? Do I simply not upload the i20 documents?
- You can upload a draft/summary of your proof of financial status, together with the application.
- The proof of finances, the final stuff, required at the point of visa issuance, by the immigration officer at the embassy.
In my old life, i submitted a draft/summary of my finances with my application. After admission, the school sent me an I-20 form, a letter of support, and my financial award document. The letter of support (addressed directly to the visa officer at the US embassy in my old country), stated that 'our college, great, endowment $1b, etc...that, the financial award given to the student will be available/guaranteed for the duration of study. The 'proof' of finances that i had submitted with the application was thrown in the trash!
- The proof of finances that u upload with the application, irrelevant. The proof of finances you take to the US embassy in your country to get your sweet FI 'non-immigrant' student visa, BIG deal.
