Urgent assistance to increase score from 320 to 620+ [#permalink]

Hello All,
My GMAT journey started in 2009 and since then I have taken the real test 3 times with scores of 240, 340 and 320. The last test was in October 2010. After the last test I decided to take a break and was thinking about applying for an MBA without the GMAT requirement.
Last week I decided that if I put my mind to it, I can ace the GMAT and get my desired score. I have already purchased the manhattan strategy guide and the 11th edition official guide.
My question is how and what should I do to ace this test? Any suggestions? Am looking at scoring at least 600. I intend to write the test on May 26, 2012.

A score such as yours shows very rudimentary knowledge of math and grammar/verbal. I'd say ditch the GMAT guides and focus on more basic information.

Start off with reading a book about basic grammar (our book here can fulfill that):

As for math, start off with basic algebra and work your way up. The Khan Academy (http://www.khanacademy.org/) has a TON of free content for you to follow, learn and practice with (it has both math and verbal). After you feel you've gotten the bare basics down, THEN move to GMAT content and figure out how to boost you score.

Couldn't agree more with mohater. You need to bolster your foundations. I'm in the same boat when it comes to verbal and have found the GMAT Ultimate Grammar book to be very helpful.
