Urgent Help Needed Regarding UC Davis full time MBA [#permalink]
10 Jun 2007, 15:32
Hello All,
I applied to UC Davis MBA and Santa Clara University(SCU).My score is 580 with 3 years of experience. I got admission in SCU and was on the waiting list at Davis. So when i attended the interview at Davis recently they said that everything else seems fine but we would appreciate if you can take GMAT again. They didnot guarantee that if i score well i would get admitted. So i would like to know would it make sense to write the gmat in two months or join SCU? If anyone had a same experience could please share it with me?
Appreciate your valuable insights.
Thanks,
Swetha.

On quick GMAT improvements: my first attempt brought a 630. Attempt #2 -- one month later -- brought a 710. I busted my hump during those 4 weeks. Though whatever GMAT challenge you're facing may require more time to address than my problem required of me. (I was ok at the content, but I was WAY too slow.)
If you are certain you want to attend this year and really want to attend Davis, I would do this:
Deposit at SCU, guaranteeing your spot.
Study - and study SMART - for the GMAT. See what happens.
If Davis comes through, awesome. I hope you'll consider both your SCU deposit and the extra test fee well-spent.
If Davis doesn't come through, well, at least you tried and you won't ask yourself "what if?"
