more than once, how many 3-digit numbers smaller than 600 can be made?

First Digit needs to be 5 only.

Second digit is one among 6,7,8,9 = 4 ways

Third digit is one among the 3 numbers left = 3 ways

Total 3-digit numbers we can make = 1X4X3 = 12

1st digit in - 1 way and remaining ones can be arranged in - 4P2 ways

1 * 4!/2! = 12 numbers
