Value of an MBA [#permalink] New post 29 Oct 2009, 06:14
What is an MBA for you ?

I'm reading from many of you that they would never attend a tier3-4 university, because a degree from such schools would be not useful to their career development.

So what is an MBA? Just a piece of paper with a brand name like harvard or stanford ? What about the education u get ? Do u think the education u get from a school tier3 is considerably lower than that from a tier1 ? I admit that because of the selection u will have superior classmates to learn from. However, beyond that, programs look very similar and great teachers are in both type of schools.

Please share what do u think about the value of your MBA. Are u doing this for professional develoapment or for getting a precious piece of paper and establishing a good network ?
