Vanderbilt Interview [#permalink] New post 22 Feb 2007, 11:32
I have an interview with Vanderbilt this weekend. It is scheduled for one hour and 45 minutes. My other interviews lasted 30 - 40 minutes and were very basic (Why an MBA now? Why this school? What were you looking for when you started looking for MBA programs?) Anyone who's been to a Vandy interview care to elaborate on what takes so long?

No idea why it would be scheduled for that long. Is it on campus? I completed my Vandy interview a few weeks ago and it was the standard b-school interview: 45 minutes, walk me through your resume, why mba, why x school, why now.

Maybe it includes a campus tour?

My interview was also very standard.

It's at a hotel in New York. Maybe there's a typo in the email and it should say 9 - 9:45 rather than 9 - 10:45...? Or maybe there's an admissions event associated with it that's not described in the email? In any case, it's good to know that other interviews weren't that long.

I would guess it is a typo. If you're concerned I would ask the admissions office about it.

Good luck in the interview.
