Did anyone go to Discover Weekend? How was it?

Yes, it's hard to make an assessment based only on a brief profile, but on terms of thriving at Owen, I can tell you that here we have many smart people from a wide variety of backgrounds. In my class for example, you can find designers, journalists, engineers, doctors, economists, etc. The common factor among them is that they all work hard and help each other. What is said about Owen's tight knit community is true. Professors, TAs, students; all are open and willing to help you learn and succeed. Also, class participation carries a weight in your course grade, and with 6.5 yrs of experience, I believe you may be able to share some valuable insights and opinions.

With the deadline coming so close for Rd-2, i dont see a sign of any intimation from Owen Adcom!

Wanted to attend, but did go to Vanderbilt for undergrad and loved every second of it so much so to already desire a second Vandy education at the Owen School!

Discover Weekend was great! The owen culture and community really showed through in the presentations and with the students/staff there. FV113, are you matriculating to Owen?

I submitted my application on the 8th and I haven't heard anything yet.

Same here. I think the earliest we'd start hearing is late next week. From those who were accepted in the previous round (and last year's Round 2), Owen calls those they accept on an individual basis.... generally during the week of the formal deadline. Good luck everyone!

I just noticed that my application status went from Complete to blank. I'm guessing this means there will be a decision in the coming days. Anyone else see this on your app today?

Yeah mine is showing the same... That is to say it's now blank.

any word back from owen on for jan 9th deadline folks? does anyone know if owen calls and makes decisions ONLY on march 8th? i know some other schools release all decisions on the same day. And, generally do they only call you in the morning if you're in or can they call in afternoon also? nervous!

status was blank for 1 week until this morning..it shows as "complete" again. did this happen to anyone else? i wonder what that means..maybe they are done reviewing the file?
