Would the answer to this Data Sufficiency question be "D" if " (1) x and y are positive integers" ?

We have one equation with 2 variables but a hint (1) x and y are positive integers on how to get their values, which would be x=1 and y=4

Would such a question be reasonable in an actual GMAT test?

Thanks

Post the whole question, then ask for opinions, not everybody has the OG10 book. Why don't you make it easy for people to help you instead of making it hard by asking people to find their books and look for the questions. I have the OG10, but I find it distracting to look back and forth at the book and computer screen.
