Hello……
Ive read some debriefs and as im currently prepping aswell I wanted to ask anyone who wishes to help how they prepared for the CR and RC portions of the verbal and got atleast above a 30-35 which is what im looking to score. I see everyone recommending various books/strategies for verbal when I myself believe that all one has to do is practice, be familiar with question types and read carefully there is no magic. Some people say the Powerscore book is too long (250 pages) while others say
MGMAT RC & CR book is not that good. I had a friend who used
MGMAT and said that it was fine. I know its a defference of opinion and what works for others may not work for someone else. Im at a loss as I don’t know how to effectively prepare for the verbal portion I would like to score preferable between 30 and 35. I know that for verbal the explanations in the
OG are crucial to know why each and every answer is right or wrong. Thats what i plan to do. Can you share with me how you prepared and offer me some constructive advice?
Im using:
MGMAT Quant all 5 books
MGMAT Sentence CorrectionOG All three books
Math Bible by Jeff Sackman
CATS:
Powerprep, GMATPREP,
MGMAT ( Im a little worried because i've read that
MGMAT cats are difficult but they do prepare you for the quant portion, if anyone can offer advice in regards to my target score and situation id very much appreciate someones advice)
Im planning an aggressive study session over the next 6 weeks. building my findamentals and then attacking the
MGMAT Quant guides again to make sure i know how to do each and every problem in the guides. After that, attack OG11.
My target score is 540…….
My schools Average is 530 while their 80% is 480 - 660.
Is this doable within a 1.5 months?
Thanks kindly
