Update!

Veritas Prep has upgraded the offering and in addition to the books, also offers access to 5 online CAT tests (the books have to be purchased on http://www.veritasprep.com)

MGMAT strategy guides are much better than veritas prep material. Veritas books are like workbooks no explanation. I simply wasted $330 (including shipping).

I began my prep work by purchasing the MGMAT set. Having reached an intermediate level of quant (42-44) i was looking at a bit of practice and ordered the following books :

1) MGMAT Advanced Quant

2) Veritas Prep Advanced Word Problems & Quantitative Review

3) Veritas Prep Data Sufficiency

I would say that all the three books complement each other. I believe that the logical step for me was to go over the two VP books and the practice questions that come with them..The advanced Word problem and QR book (VP) is almost tailor made for those that find it tough to go over the hump (break the 45 barrier in quant).. And the DS book is perhaps the only dedicated one of its kind (from the big players anyhow), and given that DS is a challenge for most, it is a great recourse and is complementary to the MGMAT set of books. Both VP and MGMAT do a great job (in quant) of covering all the aspects of the GMAT however STRATEGY, and PRACTICE is also important, and OG12/13 although a great recourse is fairly limited in scope especially given that quant is getting harder. The Advanced Word Problems & Quantitative Review book by veritas alone has over 100+ practice (most 650+ questions) and costs 22$. The MGMAT advanced quant is also an amazing book and perhaps the best advanced quant book in the market but it is quite a bit harder so it is tough to transition into that book unless you are breaking 44-45 consistently but it does include STRATEGY for both PS and DS as well as GUESSING and other Short cut strategies..I am currently going through the 2 VP books and may well order the Geometry and Perm and Comb. book from them as those are the areas i need to work harder on.

However, i don't see the individual books in the url http://www.veritasprep.com/store/

Can you please post the url if possible?

They have a strange store. I remember their books were sold in an area separate from their /store location... very unusual.
One easy place is Amazon; http://www.amazon.com/Veritas-GMAT-Book ... IY8GH13ER3

Or here:

P.S. I think Veritas has stopped offering their tests with the purchase of guides.

In India we get Official VP books from their partner (White - glow Consulting)..I ordered a few books from them in November and did receive codes for the CAT's (although i can take each CAT only ONCE)...Regarding the new books i was told that they are available but they are of little use as they are specifically designed to be used with the VP course (online or in class) and therefore are not suitable as stand alone books..I was told to order the older books which i did.

I believe Veritas Prep published a new version of its series (as of February 2013). There are 12 books now, as opposed to 15. In my package, though, a laminated test booklet was not included. This was disappointing. I also didn't find much value in the first book, Foundations of GMAT Logic. The rest of the series is a decent resource.

Veritas presents its questions in a more GMAT-like fashion than Manhattan does. The end-of-chapter questions for Manhattan, at least for the fourth edition, were terrible and actually harmed my performance.
