I began my prep work by purchasing the MGMAT set. Having reached an intermediate level of quant (42-44) i was looking at a bit of practice and ordered the following books :
1)
MGMAT Advanced Quant2)
Veritas Prep Advanced Word Problems & Quantitative Review
3)
Veritas Prep Data Sufficiency
I would say that all the three books complement each other. I believe that the logical step for me was to go over the two VP books and the practice questions that come with them..The advanced Word problem and QR book (VP) is almost tailor made for those that find it tough to go over the hump (break the 45 barrier in quant).. And the DS book is perhaps the only dedicated one of its kind (from the big players anyhow), and given that DS is a challenge for most, it is a great recourse and is complementary to the MGMAT set of books. Both VP and MGMAT do a great job (in quant) of covering all the aspects of the GMAT however STRATEGY, and PRACTICE is also important, and
OG12/13 although a great recourse is fairly limited in scope especially given that quant is getting harder. The Advanced Word Problems & Quantitative Review book by
veritas alone has over 100+ practice (most 650+ questions) and costs 22$. The
MGMAT advanced quant is also an amazing book and perhaps the best advanced quant book in the market but it is quite a bit harder so it is tough to transition into that book unless you are breaking 44-45 consistently but it does include STRATEGY for both PS and DS as well as GUESSING and other Short cut strategies..I am currently going through the 2 VP books and may well order the Geometry and Perm and Comb. book from them as those are the areas i need to work harder on.
