Anyone know how the tests stack up against the gmatprep or other software..

I took my official GMat on may, got 660

Now after going through 1.5 months of studying.. my two veritas prep test scores are:
640
650

really depressing.. considering quitting gmat.. because it does not make sense that my scores have actually decreased.. i searched on the website on the standard of veritas test compared to others.. could not find anything!

I have not taken Veritas' tests so I can't say, but do not give up because of two test scores. What materials are you studying? Be sure you are doing the Official Guide, 11th edition (10th is too easy), and take GMAT Prep tests (the official ones too). Try PR's tests also....they are close to the real thing and are good practice.

Have you thought about getting a tutor just for verbal? Your quant is solid, but if you can crack verbal you'd probably be a lot more confident.

i tried a tutor.. the tutor said he does not know how to help me apart from telling me to read a couple of books. Read both the books.. The tutor from veritas was not helpful although their materials were.
