VERY VERY IMPORTANT : Some Critical Point About GMAT-PREP [#permalink] New post 18 Apr 2010, 11:21
Hi All,
I've downloaded the software from mba.com and have noted a few things.
Lots of people said that this is the best indicator of actual GMAT but my experience is different.
I've given the two practice tests and believe me I got 5 to 6 questions known either from GMAT Verbal Reviews or OG.
Now the marks what we are getting can't be a reflection of real marks as for your known questions you virtually take no time and hence like me you'll never face the time pressure.
So its time to think whether GMAT Prep is reflective of actual GMAT or not

Very valid point. There is not/should not be any overlap between OG 12 and GMAT prep.
There is some overlap with OG 10 (quite a bit) or OG 11 potentially but the other books should be clean. You may have seen the questions here or in previous versions of OG.

That is why, when I've started my preparation I've heard from most of the people in this forum or other places that GMATPrep is the best. But after giving two GMAT from that software I must say my score is not a true reflection of my exam as I saw 5/6 questions earlier. Now my suggestion to all is that don't rely two much of the score but if you crack the algorithm then you will rely on it :-) For me any other test where I've seen more unseen questions are better
