I believe this is a question from the OG and both the setences are incorrect?

According to OG, the first sentence "visit to see" is correct. The explanation it gives is that the tourists are visiting for a purpose (to see the rhinoceroses) and the purpose is expressed by "to see" and not "and see".

I understand the "to see" part which explains the purpose of visit. I'm wondering if the use of "visit and see" is also grammatically correct even if it changes the meaning of the sentence.

the only thing I could think of is slight change in meaning

"to visit and see" - you're visiting and seeing -> could do both or either

"to visit to see" -> you're seeing animals due to the activity of visiting
