Is it a good idea to visit a school on friday?

i am planning to drive to Ithaca on friday, hoping to meet current students ---see the facilities--- drive around the town and come back.

Not really interested in attending classes and Friday is the only day i can take a leave..

what do you say folks...

I did a couple visits on fridays. I think it works out well, students generally are more relaxed friday afternoon cause they dont have pressing assignments to get done for the next day

I know classes all seem the same as a visitor since you pretty much have no clue what they are talking about...especially in case classes. However, its good to at least say you sat through one some where in your resume and it was great blah blah blah. Another box checked during the review. Every little thing helps. You are already driving up there so why not plan for another hour and half.

Thanks Ripper

I don't mind sitting in a class --and i prefer to get every checkbox complete ----

But what i found was --atleast for--NYC based schools doesn't have any classes on Friday --Mainly career centric activities---

So i assumed its the same with Johnson or other top Bschools...(couldnt find any info on website either )

Will call the adcom and check

Cheers
