Sorry to hear about the layoff.

You need more work experience (you have just 1 year of post-college full-time experience). Your chances of getting into any top b-school right now are slim to none as a result.

Keep yourself productive while you're looking for a job - start that nonprofit (but only if your heart's in it, and not because it's for b-school).

Would the admin officers consider college business experience as work experience?
