Hi Linda,

I have been waitlisted at Darden.. was a R2 applicant.

In Darden context, how good/bad is it? What can I do to improve my chances? How long before I can expect something concrete?

Would really appreciate your inputs.

Cheers.. manan

Manan,

Accepted.com has quite a few resources for the wait-listed applicant:

"Unlock the Waitlist Lock"
Wait-list Purgatory
Transcript from 2004 Wait-list Chat

I am also tentatively planning a wait-list chat for Wednesday February 9.

To briefly answer your questions, WL status is better than a rejection and not nearly as good as an acceptance. REad the articles (and follow the advice in them) to improve your chances. You can hear good or bad news any time between now and August. You just need to stay nimble and keep plugging away.

Good luck!

What was your profile? It would help us to know your chances/their admissions criteria.
