I am wait-listed at London School of Economics. Does anyone know if LSE encourages communication and submission of additional materials in such a situation? Should I contact them and ask?

Sorry I didn't post this in the Int'l App forum but I wanted to attract certain people's attention.

Thanks

M.Sc. Finance. LSE does not offer an MBA, neither am I interested in an MBA at this point. As far as wait list policy is concerned however, I would think that LSE's is similar to that of most major schools that offer MBA programs. Any advice would be appreciated.

My impression was that once an application is submitted, you are not allowed to add to it (as a general rule), otherwise it would be unfair on other applicants. Did you consider the LBS MiF program (out of curiousity) ?

bsd_lover: Technically speaking, maybe you are right. However, nothing could prevent me from e-mailing or writing a letter to the Director of Admissions, thanking him/her for placing me on the wait list and providing him/her with updates on my background (for instance, I am in the process of registering for 3 additional math courses). Of course, whether or not they will consider my e-mail/letter is another issue. What prompted my question is the following: http://www.accepted.com/chat/transcript ... 72004.aspx

As for LBS, I have not considered the MiF program. I am a career changer (tax->finance) and also lack the required work experience.

kwam: Thank you, I may take you up on this one even though I am more interested into CorpFin, especially the Emerging Markets side of it. I really appreciate it.
