I am looking towards giving my GMAT in next couple of months and want to score atleast around 700. Can someone tell me what would be a good starting point towards acheiving the same ?

The first thing you need to do, is to take a diagnostic test to see where you stand. Based on the results, you will see how close you are from your goal, and you will also identify the areas you need to improve.
You can take one of the exams from the GMATprep.

I recommend you go over the "share your experience" section of this forum. There are plenty of suggestions for making a good preparation.

I would recommend against doing that ...

Those exams are great for saving before you take the exam. You dont want to waste them unnecessarily.

I would buy the Manhattan books as study material.
Also buy the Official Guide 11th edition.

If you have the money, the manhattan courses are great too.

If you don't, buy access to the Manhattan practice GMATs. I took six of them and they all very very accurately predicted my score.
