I was interviewed in Mid-Feb. Any idea when do we expect to hear back about the decisions ? The website says decision by 30-Mar. I'm assuming and hoping we hear earlier than that.

Hey ashrat, I also interviewed early/mid-Feb. I asked my interviewer about the time frame and he told me that they may send out decisions earlier but didn't specify when. It doesn't look like anybody else in this forum has heard back yet so I guess we will just have to sit tight.

Did they ask you for your official transcripts? I still haven't submitted mine and they said there is no need until they ask.

Hey jekko12, I uploaded the scanned copy of my official transcript during the application process. I guess they will ask for the physical copy once we're admitted.

Yes, even I was told the same thing - "earlier", but no date as such. I hope they release the decisions soon. I believe they are interviewing till 15-Mar (Skype), and 7-Mar (last off campus interview).

Lets hope we hear from them by 15-Mar.

It looks like the part-time MBA dropped from #10 to #15.

Re: Washington (Foster) 2013 - Calling All Applicants [#permalink]
Hi all, I'm a R3 (1/20 application deadline) applicant. Do you think there's any possibility the admissions committee might release a decision earlier?

I think Foster is my first choice. I'm getting very stressed out because I've been accepted to another program which is my very close "second choice" (with a substantial scholarship). The other school's admitted students weekend (April 11- 13) is the same as Foster's.

If I don't hear back from Foster until 3/30 (assuming I'm admitted), making travel plans to go to Seattle will be very difficult with just two weeks notice. I would want to attend the admitted students weekend in April rather than May, so that I can evaluate UW before a deposit (for EITHER school) is due.

Can anyone weigh in on this? Would it be reasonable to ask the admissions committee if they could provide a decision earlier so that I finalize travel plans given the very tight turnaround between the decision date and admitted students weekend (plus the fact that I need to make a final decision on the other school just two weeks after UW's decision dates)?

Also, does anyone know when UW's deposit would be due, if we are accepted and decide to matriculate?

Finally, along a different topic, the other school is paying for travel and hotel for admitted student's weekend. Is that typical? Does anyone know if Foster does that? Just wondering.

Thanks!

This may seem a stupid question, but I haven't seen the question asked anywhere else on the forums. Is there a thread for evening/part-time program applications? I'm applying to foster evening program, and I'd love to connect with some students applying to that program.

Re: Washington (Foster) 2013 - Calling All Applicants [#permalink]
Not much activity on this thread , would any of the current students from Foster shed some light on the placements for international students. I am really worried about going into this school. I could not find any information regarding placements for internationals and specifically found Foster to be a little weak in Consulting placements. I could not see even tier 2 consulting firms such as Accenture ,Oliver etc. Is it really that bad for Consulting? I know for sure that its tech biased school because of its location, but would it be rated as the lowest most ranked school in the West coast as far as the placements for Consulting go..

Crazy jump of Foster from #35 - #23 in US news , not that I am complaining :) but would like to know what are the reasons for this gigantic jump..
