Washingtonian thinking of weekend PT @ Booth/Kellogg/Ross [#permalink] New post 16 Dec 2009, 10:36
I am pondering the idea of doing weekend MBA at Booth,Kellogg or Ross. I am a 38 year old working professional with family. Executive programs are not possible for me because my work is not flexible enough that I can take every other week off. Locally, Georgetown and Maryland offers PT programs, but the Booth/Kellogg and Ross brand is much better than that of Georgetown/Maryland.

I was wondering if anyone has traveled long distance to attend the weekend programs at Booth, Kellogg or Ross. If so your overall experience, advise will be much appreciated.

Why aren't you considering Stern?

Stern does not allow part timers to take advantage of the career services as we all know. I'd like to keep my options open for a career change after my MBA, hence I am not considering Stern.

Stern does have on campus recruiting for PT students. But you need to complete all the resume, mock interview, etc workshops before you can and I'm not sure you can do that only on weekends.

Travelling to Chicago or New York would take about the same time anyway, but probably cost more to Chicago. So definately Booth/Kellogg over Stern. I was thinking of Ross vs Stern, especially for Finance.
