Hello fellow GMATers,
I was wondering, how adcoms generally consider candidates who works/worked for government entities such as Ministry of foreign affairs, Ministry of Trade, etc...? Does the fact that not many applicants worked in governmental sector adds points to application?
Thanks,

You're right that most people have more traditional WE (banking/consulting/etc etc) so having govt experience def sets you apart. I think what you've done in your various govt roles can still matters though. Like with any other career, any increased responsibility/promotions over time can be helpful. Also, if your govt position was attained through a competitive exam of some kind - that would be worth highlighting in your essays as well Cheers.
