Unlike many other schools, Wharton does not call early. May 8th means May 8th.

R3 decision day is tomorrow? Good luck to all the R3 applicants and R1 & R2 waitlisters. I really hope you get good news tomorrow.

I chose Booth. I know a lot of other people chose Wharton. I think it really depends on your goals, overall fit with the school, and money. Booth won 2 out of 3 with me, so that's why I ultimately chose it. I think W vs B comes down to personal preference. It's pointless to split hairs about which school is "better."

I am an R2 waitlistee and in R2, the calls went right in the morning. However, waitlistees and dings had to wait till 1700 EST. I am praying that this would not e be true this time and some of us (wish all of us!) would get some good news!

Calls started much earlier in R2 but they also had a lot more to go through. Based on last year it seems like very few people get admitted R3. It's somewhat encouraging I guess that no one has heard anything on here or on BTG, but it also could mean very few people were accepted.

FWIW, the Wharton Facebook group is up 10 people today, but it's likely not worth reading into that.

I doubt those additional 10 people in the fb group are new admits. It takes them at least 24 hours to verify the requests and give people access to the group. Might be some R1 or R2 stragglers or current Wharton students.

If you are admitted, it will be a congratulatory email. Else, it will just say go check your status. Thats my guess based in the email informing me about my interview invite and the email updating my R2 decision which unfortunatley turned out to be waitlist. Hope I see a better outcome this time round.

Are there any R2 applicants still waiting on Re Vera background check? I called both of my recommenders and my prior employer and they haven't been contacted at all. Its been 8 weeks. This is ridiculous.

Is anyone else in the same boat?
