Re: Wharton 2013 - Calling All Applicants [#permalink]
It seems that Wharton is again going to be "generous" as it was last year when few people weren't able to get visa in a week or two and the school left them with their own problems. I heard about this from the admitted students at the info session. Surely, the hub cities cover major countries such as Europeans, Asians, India (2 spots!) and Brazil but what about minorities (post-USSR countries, African countries) who still need a visa? It seems that their 37% of internationals in the class are already predetermined and minorities are even more disadvantaged.

It does looks weird the choice of hub cities concentrated in Asia. Half of the total hub cities are in Asia, with only London in Europe, for example.

For South America, there is only 2 days in Brazil, in the whole South America. It seems very low when comparing to HBS, that had 1 day in Santiago, Chile and 4 or 5 days in Sao Paulo, Brazil. And typically HBS invites less people than Wharton.

So, looking at the hubs we can see the demographic picture of the internationals for the class of 2015. Even though there is only one Euro-hub the citizens of the European Union can travel to the UK without restrictions (read, just buy a ticket), not sure about you guys in South America.

How do you check apply yourself? Can someone let me know when I login how I can check it this way? What buttons do I click?

Domestic applicants, does everyone else just see November 7/8/9 available for on-campus interviews right now? Do you think they will add more, or do we just need to pick one of those 3 days?

I submitted my application on Sept 30 but the status is still complete-round 1.
Still waiting for "completed for round 1".
Congratulations for those who got the interview invitation.

I think Complete Round 1 = Completed for Round 1. Means it's under review for Rd 1.

Tzeentch99 - it should be on the main page when you log in, no need to click anything (if you have been invited), I think.

Just lucky enough to get an HBS invite last week. No word from S/W on my end, yourself?

Did anyone else (who hasn't gotten an invite yet) get this "round 1 application questions" chat email? Freaked out and thought it was an invite for a second...why in the world would they send this if I haven't gotten an invite yet?!

Considering that round 1 is already closed, and I have not received an invitation, I thought that was quite mean. :)
