I am wondering what percentage of candidates they have already invited...
Almost half of the invitations period has elapsed, so I'm starting to lose hope

Our chances are roughly half of what they were in the beginning, but let's not lose hope.

If you still don't hear about the invite its either:
1) adcom has reviwed your application and decided you not qualify for admission
2) they haven't reviewed your application yet
There is also a small chance that they have seen you application, liked it, but no so much as to invite you right away. So they will return to your application when they have seen the entire pool. But this probability is too small, so I suggest it to be zero.

I apply the following formula:

Chances of receiving an invite=x*0+(1-x)*S

x=# of candidates reviewed by adcom by this moment/# of applicants
S - stands for success rate - how you estimate your overall chances of receiving an invite, before adcom started sending invites

Roughly one half of invites has been sent. For example if you estimated S to be 70% for Wharton in the beginning, it is only 35% now. Still not bad. Though the chances are dissapearing quickly :/ But if you are a marginal candidate and they want to review the entire pool before inviting you, your chances might be even greater.

Somebody mentioned that there is just 1 slot remaining for Indian candidates. So unless Wharton opens up new interview slots, its pretty much game over for me at Wharton.

Re: Wharton 2013 - Calling All Applicants [#permalink]
Class of 2014 applications: 6408
Enrolled Class: 837
Yield: 71.4%
Acceptance Rate: 16.8%
Taking the higher number: By yield rate, approximately 1200 students were accepted by Wharton
Based on above posts, about 60-65% people applied in R2. Assuming the incoming class comprises of a similar percentage of R2 applicants
Candidates accepted from Round 2: ~750 candidates
Another rough estimate, percentage of candidates that Wharton accepted from its interview round: ~40%
Candidates interviewed in the second round: ~1875

I am guessing around 1700-1900 candidates will be interviewed for Round 2. If each interview slot is going to house 6 candidates, there should be around 280 to 315 interview slots....(again some of the above calculations are based off rough estimates/numbers)

Just got my interview invite. The on-campus slots for this wave are February 14 through February 21. Of the international slots, Mumbai, Shanghai, Seoul, Tokyo, and London look full. The other ones have availability.

Totally was not expecting an invite at 5:30 on a Friday afternoon, but I guess these Adcom people are really dedicated to their jobs.

Excited to get an invite! There isnt anything open on-campus beyond 22nd Feb - anyone have any luck in getting a different date from the ones that were available? Choices were fairly limited and only for 3 days. I am going to traveling on work that week and it will be hard to get out - any ideas whether admissions will be open more dates?

I haven't heard back yet regarding an invite either. East-coast US applicant. I thought my application to Wharton was my strongest by far and thought I had a decent shot. FWIW I did receive an invite to Stanford, so I'm praying they just haven't reviewed my applications yet...

I am a R2 HCM applicant and I received my interview invitation yesterday at 5:30pm EST. Very happy!!! :-D But I don't see any available on-campus team-based discussion slots. I hope they open up more next week. Plan to contact the admissions office if I don't see anything open on Monday.

Congratulations to those who got an interview! Still hoping for getting one next week, although I don't think my application is strong enough for Wharton. International applicant, I lived in SF since more than one year now.

Any French applicant ? Any applicant in retail/marketing?

Good luck to everyone!!!
