Woot woot! I'm undecided about applying to Wharton, but I am definitely ready for the 2013 application season to begin! I spent a lot of the last year toying with the idea of applying to MBA programs in R3, but thanks to this site (and a few others), I realized this would be a mistake -- too competitive, almost no scholarship $$ available. It has been great being a spectator for the 2012 season, but I am ready to jump in Good luck to all!!

Since you are starting again, read the last two entries on my blog; I am a firm believer that meticulous planning and disciplined execution of the plan is 80% of success in applications to Wharton and other top schools; 10% is creativity, 10% is luck.

Looking forward to the 2013 season (hopefully my first and only application season)
Most likely will apply to Wharton, Harvard, and 2 or 3 other top schools, so I am mentally preparing myself for rejection from more than a couple places. But like I said, looking forward to the process, have been doing a lot of reading of books around the application process, so feel I am adequately prepared for the onslaught of essays and data processing that will be occuring.
I realize it has been hammered on the boards a million times, but anyone using a consultant in 2013 and which ones? Just curious to the thought process behind it and how it differs from the books Im reading (obviously and editor and interview preparer is helpful).
GL to all this season!

GL to all this season! Using a consultant is really a personal choice. Some people hire one for the full shebang, others piecemeal services, while some go it alone. I wouldn't say there's a one size fits all recommendation. Check out the admissions consulting thread here: http://gmatclub.com/forum/best-admission-consulting-companies-92923.html. People give rather detailed feedback on how things went with whoever they chose. I personally always recommend Essay Snark. If you would like additional info about my experience feel free to PM. I didn't use his services for my Wharton application, but I definitely incorporated what I learned from him.

I will definitely be applying this fall! I've got a long road ahead as I'm carrying the burden of a low GPA and not fantastic GMAT to help the situation. Let's just hope the fact that I'm 6 years out of school will help! Visited Wharton a few months ago and loved everything about the school so I'm pumped about applying. However, the thought of having to wait over a year to go to school seems rather daunting, I'm ready now!

Unsure about applying to Wharton, but so anxious I had to write in a 2013 thread. We need more schools to release essay topics! This is torture!

Maybe the next book I should read in preparation is the Art of War. I am also in agreement with the poster above me, just publish your essays already, I cant wait to get going..

Anybody have any idea on when Wharton plans on releasing essay questions or when their deadlines will be? H & S have already released this info, am curious when Wharton will do the same.
