womp womp. You can add me to the WL list. I suppose I will just go ahead in planning for another school and hope that I get a nice surprise... However, looking at the amount of people wait listed in R2, chances are looking extremely unlikely.

I shouldn't have but I did... looks like a lot more people got accepted the R1 WL last year than this, time (we've had like what 1 so far and a Lauder back in Feb). Clearly, there is no trend... congrats to those of you who atleast have an alternative. Good Luck to the rest of you

Ha, I was out and about on my phone when I got the status update so I stopped reading after "we unfortunately cannot offer you a place in the class." I notified the family that I had been rejected and was waiting for my Stern deposit to go through when the site froze and I decided to reread the letter. WL!

I'm sure I'll still end up at Stern given the size of the wait list (and that I love it there), but it sure feels better to be on the list than flat out told I just wasn't good enough. Good luck everyone. I hope we all end up where we belong.

Yes, I got an automated message with the subject "Application Status Update"- it just said this:

Dear X ,

Your application status for the Wharton MBA program has been updated. Please log into your online application account to check your Decision Status.

I never got mine either. Maybe the computer knows if the status has been checked by type a candidates already and only sends emails to those who haven't checked it yet?

I was on the waitlist since R1. Still on the waitlist again.... Oh well, going to Kellogg would be awesome too. But not all hope is lost yet...

Yes, mine also says May 3rd.

But it seems from past threads though that the update on May 3rd could just consist of
"Congrats! you've now been dwelling, agonizing, and waiting to hear about whether you get to spend 192Gs for ! You get to keep dwelling, agonizing, and waiting!! And now since you've likely put down a deposit for another school, make that 194Gs!!" <3<3 Wharton.
