I live in the Bay area and am interested in the Wharton west EMBA and the Haas EWMBA. They both have pros and cons and I am having a tough time figuring out which one has the edge. How would you rank them? Thanks.
Did you ever get a response to your post? I'm facing the same question. After visiting both programs, I think one of the main differences is the type of students attending each program. From what I can tell the EWMBA program at Haas is younger and a little less experienced. Some classes are attended by full-time students which brings down the age even more. This difference isn't bad, just something to keep in mind. One aspect I like very much about Wharton is the two day format on Friday and Saturday. In this format you are completely immersed in the program, while at Haas you go at night. At 9:30pm, after a day's work and then school, you probably aren't going to be doing a lot of networking. In any case, both schools are the best part-time programs in the Bay Area, so attending either one would be a coup.
I decided on Wharton and after ~9 months in the program I am certainly impressed with the rigor and the quality of the staff. Personally Wharton fit my schedule and career track better than Berkeley, but both schools are excellent. Feel free to PM me if you want to discuss further.
