I took a vacation back to my hometown, Bangkok, Thailand last 2 weeks
It seems like now Thailand has been known more from world perspectives
that the most ever scandalous prime minister, Thaksin Shinawatra was sacked out of his position for corrupting our country :)
This might be my last post for few days since internet signal and cellphone
signal will be cut off next hour.

Good luck to all peace lover

Some related news
-----------------------------------------
BANGKOK, Thailand (CNN) -- Tanks have been seen rolling through the streets of Bangkok, Thailand, on Tuesday amid rumors of an attempted coup, witnesses tell CNN.

Thai Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra -- currently at the U.N. headquarters in New York -- went on a government-owned TV station and declared a state of emergency, The Associated Press reported.

According to officials at the Thai mission at the United Nations, Thaksin has moved up his speech to the General Assembly to Tuesday night and will return to Bangkok after his address.

He had been scheduled to address the assembly on Wednesday.

Thaksin has been under considerable pressure to step down. Elections in Thailand are scheduled for November after the country's constitutional court ruled April's vote was unconstitutional.

Thaksin had called for the elections in April, three years early, after opponents accused the billionaire leader of abusing the country's system of checks and balances and bending government policy to benefit his family's business.

Saw this news in while traveling in Australia last week. Scary stuff.

On a similiar note, Japan just swore in a new Prime Minister (Abe) last week. He's an ultra right winger intending to revise the constitution so that Japan can possess a fully armed military (rather than just a self-defense force). If successful, this is definately going to have a ripple effect through Asia, especially neighboring China and Korea.

Hope things settle down over there CHEN.

MATT
The situation gets better now. It's not that serious as it was supposed to.
But some people still believe there will be a very big boycott in the future
me too(just scared).

As an investor, I am still not sure about foreigners perspective on
Thailand stock market. Some information show that foreign currency
substantially flow out now while I observed that there is only little
capital-divestment from some unsecure stocks.
There are two diverge opinions on how stock market will perform
from now. Some people(including me) believe that decreasing in oil price
will have a positive benefit on stock market. On the other hand,
others believe that military coup seizing the power from government
will be an important catalyst of economic recession which starts
spreading out throughout the country .
I'm little worried about this because my MBA fund is invested in
stock market. :?

Anyway I took some nice photos of tanks before i came back to NY
I will post it soon. :peek
