What am I doing wrong [#permalink]

I have been studying for the GMAT using the OG for about 4-5 months with a consistent schedule. I took a practice test last week and made 560 and today I took the GMAT PREP TEST and I made a 440 (Q26 V 25). I'm just wondering how did this happen and what I can do to get my score to go up. I'm thinking I should change something in my studying, but I've heard the best thing to do is practice OG and I have, but I just found the questions on the prep to be alot harder. I have been aiming for a 600 plus in one-two months. Any suggestions are welcome on how others have studied to drastically improve their score. I'm thinking I should probably take practice tests twice a week and the other days study OG....what do you think?
I think you need to focus more on the concepts than the practice. I suggest getting the MGMAT Guides and starting to work through the concepts thoroughly before doing the OG. As you said, the OG is good practice, but it's not a good teacher.
