Hi Linda:

This is my profile, please let me know my chances:

Age/Gender - 27 yrs/Male

GMAT - 700 93% (V-40 90%, Q-47 83%, AWA-6.0)

Undergrad GPA - 76 % from a reputed regional university in India (not sure what this matches to on a GPA scale)

Undergrad Degree - Engineering

Masters GPA - 3.67 from Michigan State University

Masters Degree - Engineering

Experience - 3 yrs full time & 2 yrs part time (all in USA)

Industry - Pharmaceutical and Drug Development

Job Profile - Sr. Programmer doing Statistical & Clinical Programming

Citizenship - Republic of India on a work (H1-B) visa

I am shooting for the top 4 part time programs (Stern, Univ of Chicago, kellogs & univ of michigan). What are my chances for part-time MBA admission to these schools ?

thanks in advance for your time

Your academic stats are competitive at these programs. You probably have a little less than typical work experience, but it's not a big enough difference to be an automatic ding -- as long as the quality of your responsibilities is competitive.

Good luck!

Linda,

Thank you very much for your response.

The quality of my experience, I guess, is quite competitive. please advise on my chances at stern since that is my automatic choice as I live close to NY city. please advise on how I can put together a good application for Stern.

Do you think I have a better chance at the other 3 (Univ of Chicago, kellogs & univ of michigan ) ?

thanks again

If your work experience is competitive, then your overall profile is competitive for Stern's part-time program. You probably have a slightly better chance at Michigan's part-time program, but they are all pretty comparable.

We would be happy to advise you on how to put together a good application for Stern, but we would need to know much more about you and charge for the this. Please see the description of our MBA admissions advising and editing .
