Question Stats:

100% (01:07) correct 0% (00:00) wrong based on 1 sessions
I've been doing this quiz thing all day every day. For quant, ten questions each cycle. For verbal, 15. I've been getting about 70% average using 60% of the allotted time (all using study mode, so no timer)

I asked this question yesterday regarding the accuracy of the test.

How would 70% place me? Do most of you have extraordinarily sufficient time to finish the test, or do you mostly go over the time limit?

PS: all questions I did are in the "hard" category

Hi,

First, I suggest answer the questions timed. See, the dynamics become different when you answer the questions timed. You try as fast as you can to answer the question. However, this would make you commit silly and careless mistakes. Always go for the middle ground, the balance between accuracy and speed.

Second, in my own opinion the last think you want to do is to analyze your performance based on the number of correct/incorrect items you got. The more important analysis would be: which topics were I have a hard time on? Consequently, which topics did I spend more than 2 minutes on? In this case you're digging deeper on the problem - you will be able to think of the ways to rephrase the problem, etc.

Just my opinion. :)

No, when my quizzes are NOT timed, I do them even faster, because I don't even know how long has passed (there's no timer available to peek)

Consequently, I often spend only 15 seconds on a SC question, completing the whole set in less than 40% of the allotted time.

I just posted one example which I spent 4 minutes doing calculation....and still got wrong.. if GMAT actually test your long division (with decimal numbers) like that, it'd be kinda silly.
