What do I need for AWA? [#permalink] New post 24 Oct 2011, 17:33
Hi guys, I just finished my gmat today and got a 730 on it. I don't feel good about my AWA

I'm just wondering with a 3.8 gpa and no work experience, what score do I need on AWA to be competitive for Texas-Austin,UIUC, and Indiana-Bloomington?

Nice pull!
Ohhhh I wouldn't worry about it. With a 730 you are good to go. I had a client with a 720 and a 2! and he got in several good schools, including Ross.

Hi,

Congrats on your gmat score although if you wish to apply to business schools then one of the prerequisites is having significant work experience. Generally candidates have around 4-5 years of full time experience in spite of several term time projects or jobs; so you may be competing with other candidates who have 4-5 years of full time experience and have started significant initiatives at college. Hence, we would advise you to gain some full time work experience before you decide to apply for an MBA.
