Kindly look into my profile and suggest colleges where I have a realistic chance

Graduation
Btech: CGPA 7/10
National Institute of Technology Kurukshetra (NITs are only after IITs in reputation)

GMAT 700 awa 4 :(

Work ex :2.5 years as on date
I run my own ayurvedic pharma firm.We grow and plants with medicinal value and process them into ayurvedic medicines and market all across india.
I have 30 full time employees under me
our sales are over 20 Lacs per annum
we handle a land bank of 10 acres
this is not our family business but I started this firm after graduating from college(Most of the land is leased from small farmers)

my objective is to grow my firm to an export oriented company selling alternative medicines and natural beauty products in USA and Europe. I am looking for an mba program with emphasis on Entrepreneurship and which has a strong brand name and provides good networking opportunities which would help me get funds for expanding this business

Kindly suggest schools I can apply to

Hi Rakesh,

2.5 years of work experience is a little low, although it will not rule you out at the schools you are applying to. Of the colleges you have mentioned, Duke seems to be a fair shot. UCLA and Ross are going to be difficult. Other schools I would add to the list are Babson (Olin), CMU (Tepper), Cornell (Johnson), and Dartmouth (Tuck). None of these will be easy to get into, but all of them are worth the time and effort you will put into them.

Given your work experience, you are best placed to apply to programs which value entrepreneurship AND which have a strong alumni network AND which are in the VC radar to a greater extent (almost all schools have some VCs who are interested and come around, but those focused on entrepreneurship will have a stronger VC reach out). These schools fit the bill - I would urge you not to go for less as what you are looking for goes well beyond education.

Finally, as you apply to these schools, make sure your story, essays, and overall application are well though-out, well drafted, and focused. An entrepreneurship focus for an MBA requires that you focus on creating a fantastic application, because other elements of your profile (work ex, recos, professional awards) will not be apparent.
