Hi folks and experts,
My test is on 14th March.
Say, you click on the bubble and select an answer choice on your last question of the section but you run out of time before you can hit 'next' and 'confirm'.
1)Would you get the credit for the answer if you had selected the right answer choice?
2)Would you be penalized for not completing the section as you failed to click 'Next' and 'Confirm'?
3)In Verbal, does your score depend on how well you fared on each sections( CR/SC/RC ) independently?
Regards,
Sachin
Hi Sachin,
You have to click next and confirm in order to complete the test and you will get peanalized if you do not. Second, your score on verbal is dependent on your overall performance and not on individual CR, RC, SC sections. All the best for your GMAT..!!
Hope that helps,
Vercules
Posted from my mobile device I have actually read in a couple of forums and blogs that we aren't penalized by not confirming. It is enough if we just select the answer choice. Stacey Koprince from
MGMAT also confirmed this.
So I just wanted a confirmation about this fact.
Also, I do not know if we do get credit for just selecting the right answer choice and not clicking on next and confirm.
If I were you then, even if someone had said that, I personally would not have taken that risk. It is just a matter of seconds. Click next and confirm atleast 10 - 20 seconds before the allotted time finishes. Moreover if you do not confirm the last question, you might still have a doubt that you could have got an extra 10 or 20 points on your score..
