What if I have no research experience? [#permalink] New post 07 Nov 2012, 21:53
Hi,

As a master student who just started her program this fall, I am currently working as a graduate assistantship for a professor with limited amount of research work. Throughout my undergraduate program, I was not exposed to much research other than case studies, internships and class projects.

I am wondering what is the average requirement for candidates in terms of research experience?

I wonder this all the time. I've got nothing except a short seminar style class with a research paper and a work project that required econometric modeling. Circumstances prevented me from gaining more research experience. All I can do is to sell what I've got. But even if I get shortlisted I think they will slaughter me in the interview.
