What is a good GMAT score for Masters in finance programs? [#permalink] New post 03 Dec 2011, 17:35
Hello everyone,

I just scored a 690 (48/35) on the gmat. I have a 3.2 GPA in economics from a top 25 University. Is this good enough to get into some good Masters in Finance programs?

I'm applying to 4 schools: Washington University, Vanderbilt, Villanova, and Clairemont McKenna.

Claremont McKenna might be a stretch, but you would be competitive. You will be good for all the other schools. Do you have any internships? That will help when recruiting comes.

Hey there,

I am looking for a topic to evaluate my profile and found this one much relevant to my situation.

To niweissman: Have you completed your application to those schools and heard back from any of them? If you don't mind sharing your acceptance, I would appreciate it.

To Anthony: I have read many of your posts about MSF so I thought I might seek advice from you.
I have a 680 GMAT (Q:47, V:37); undergrad GPA: 3.2; and CFA level II candidate. I am applying for MSF in Vanderbilt, Villanova, UIUC, IIT and Johns Hopkins. I know third round is such a pain too but I couldn't make decisions to apply earlier. Do you think I still have good chance to get into those schools?

Thanks in advance.
