What is the area of rectangle ABCD?

1) Diagonal AC is twice as long as side CD
2) Diagonal AC is .1 meters longer side AD

Is there a standard way to assign ABCD for rectangles. Also same goes for triangles ABC?

It seems from this question that there is no standard way.

C. from i and ii only we know the size and relation of l and b.

so area = sqrt3

From 1: suppose the length of side CD is X then Diagonal AC will be 2X, So we will have AD = sqrt3 *x^2 (By using pythagoras them) as we dont know the value of X, its insufficient.

From2: AD + 1 = AC ( since other values are unknown, its insufficient)

Now from 1 and 2 we will get the area of the triagle to be sqrt 3/ ((2-sqrt3)^2)...Sufficient
