What is the average (arithmetic mean) of a, b, and c?

(1) The sum of 2a, 2b, and 2c is 30.
(2) The average (arithmetic mean) of a + 3, b ・2, c ・4 is 4.

I can`t seem to understand why statement (2) is correct.

is (2) [(a + 3) + 2b + 4c]/3 = 4? if so, then clearly it is A only.

I do not think that B is sufficient.
