so the 4 root sign means a double sqrt root??

i thought you would write a double sqrt as 2sqrt(x)

talking about similar shapes..what if i have 2 cubes with say the ratio of their surface area is 2:N, then what would be the ratio of their volumes??

i remember there used to a formula or rule of thumb regarding similar shapes..anyone remember???

if 2 cubes with side a, b have surface areas in the ration of 2:N,

then, 6 * a^2/ 6 * b^2 = 2/N

a/b = sqrt (2/N)

volumes will be a^3/b^3 = (sqrt(2/N))^3

It should be D

Area of an eq triangle = (sqrt(3)/4 )* t^2

Area of a square = s^2
If both are equal

s^2=sqrt(3)/4 *(t^2)

Which gives

t/s =2/(3 ^ (1/4))
