What is the greatest common factor of positive integers x and y?

(1) The greatest common factor of x/2 and y/2 and is 5.
(2) x and y are even.

From 1: x/2 = 5n and y/2 = 5m where m and n are some integers

therefore, x = 10n and y = 10m. Hence 10 is GCM between x and y. Sufficient!!

2. is pointless. the fact that x/2 and y/2 is an integer means x and y are even.

I would say A
